She was the daughter of Aberhaus Cotton (c1830-<1885) and Mary Meyerowitz (c1829-1912). Her siblings were Franzelia Cotton (1855-1918), Meyer Cotton (c1857-?), Dvora Rivka Cotton (c1859-<1927), Joseph Cotton (1872-<1947).

Rose Cotton's husband was Michael Broady (c1859-<1930). They were married ABT 1894 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. They had three known children named Alfred Broady (1896-1976), Morris Broady (1897-?), and Kate Broady (1900-?).
