The LDS has films for both faiths from Wissek.
Christenings 1864-1891 for Protestant
Marriages 1864-1914 for Protestant
These were both filmed from an unidentified source in Lbeck, Germany F
or Catholic records, Christenings: 1750-1891 Marriages: 1765-1892 Death
s: 1745-1891
These were filmed from two different sources: the Geheimen Staatsarchiv i
n Berlin-Daheim, and an unidentified source in Mnchen (both in Germany
) There would be no earlier Protestant records for Wissek, as that chur
ch didn't exist before 1864. According to data gathered by Lukasz Biele
cki and published by PolishRoots.org, it was formed at that time from p
arts of the parishes of Lobsens, Grabau and Krojanke.
The German Protestant Archives in Berlin have the Lobsen records, all o
f which have been filmed by the Mormons. Evangelisches Zentralarchiv in B
erlin B 1768 1773-1945 M 1773-1883 1919-1944 D 1773-1945 The German Pro
testant Archives in Berlin have the Grabau records, all of which have b
een filmed by the Mormons. Evangelisches Zentralarchiv in Berlin B 1778
-1915 M 1791-1903 D 1791-1862
See the data at http://www.polishroots.org/genpoland/records/wyr_r.htm w
here you can also see the LDS film numbers. Attached is a snippet of th
e Ravenstein map showing this area. You can see how Wissek was in the m
iddle of the triangle formed by Grabau (Grabowo), Krojanke (in West Pru
ssia) and Lobsens. Whether the church books are in German or Polish arc
hives, civil or religious archives, the Mormons have filmed almost ever
ything that still exists. So for those that can utilize the LDS Family H
istory Center branch libraries, it doesn't much matter where the actual o
riginal records are archived.

Dear Gloria and List,
I have a sneaking hunch that your family is from the Zakrzewo, Kreis Fl
atow or Kreis Wirsitz area of Posen. These 2 Kreis are adjacent to one a
nother. I see both names in the Zakrzewo Catholic Parish records in th
at time frame.
In fact, the Piszczek family marries into my BRZOSTOWICZ family twice i
n 1856 and 1859.
Good luck,
